Perseverance and compassion to get through the years
Love and tenderness to get through the tears
Pride and passion to stand for the right
Strength and courage to stand for the fight

Hugging your children, but crying inside
Trying to run, yet with no place to hide
Standing your ground, facing your fears
Guarding your family when danger nears

Growing closer and growing apart
Sharing and protecting your delicate heart
Waking each day with tiny hands to hold
Spending each night in a bed grown cold

Trying to be whole with half of you missing
Wanting to touch, yet can only be listening
Loving your life, yet hating each day
Saying goodbye, if only he could stay

A wonderful mother, an amazing wife
Breathtaking beauty, in a giving life
A fantastic sister, an eternal friend
A helpful heart with hands to lend

An amazing example of what I would like to be
A calming peace in a storm raged sea
Sailing on, with love ones held near
Holding on, for that morning light to appear

I see in you such a wonderful person. Pure and honest. Many times I have longed to go back to those barefooted walks through a rain drenched town, to roasting marshmallows on paperclips with a lighter, to those long talks about life and love. Many times I have just longed to be near to you again. To hear you laugh and see you smile. To be at one of your parties again. I long to look over and see you sitting in A’s lap with two boys climbing all over you. I long to hold your hand, to hug you, to let you know that I am there for you. But most of all, I just long to be able to tell you that I love you. Because I do.

My prays are with you always, always.

Wow, Jeremy -- this is absolutely beautiful. It made me cry. You have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't know what brought this on, but it sure is nice to feel loved and cared about. I've been having a hard time here lately, and reading this has just made my day. Your writing is amazing, Jeremy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love you bunches.

Is he your Husband?  If not, grab a mate for this guy or gal! Very nice.
on Nov 11, 2004
Nope. He's my brother.

He's married to a lovely woman, and they have both just finished college and are serving as missionaries in Italy. He's an amazing guy.

No, but maybe they know them -- do you know where they're "stationed"? Maybe they're part of the same program? Here's a link to my brother and his wife's website .

I don't know what brought this on, but it sure is nice to feel loved and cared about.

I've been meaning to post it for some time. I am so amazed at how strong you are yet at the same time can share your weaknesses with others. I struggle with what to say and how to say it. I thought about retelling all the things we did together as children etc...but I just got so amazed at you and your character. You are such a wonderful person. I tried to picture some of what you go through each day, I don't know if I did it well, but I tried. You are really an inpiration to both Amanda and I. We look up to you and Adrian both. What you guys have to go through to keep a marriage and family strong is a testament to how much you truly love each other and those boys. Thank YOU for the great example. I miss you and love you!

Sorry, not us. Those names don't sound too familiar, where are they at exactly?

on Nov 12, 2004
Their last name's greenwich, and I believe they're in Milan.

We haven't been to Milan yet, we are working in Florence. I will keep their name handy however and keep my eyes open for them.

Ciao!
