Amanda and I got our tree today! It’s kind of short, kind of bare, but none the less it is our first Italian tree!

We saw it about a week ago when we were out walking around town. We didn’t want to buy it yet because we weren’t sure if we would be able to stay in Italy due to some document issues. The issues are still not resolved, but we just can’t NOT have a tree!

We don’t have any ornaments from the states here with us, so we just bought some lights and garland, it looks okay. We do have four ornaments that we got since we’ve been here, and that’s it.

Having a tree has really put me in the Christmas mood. I love to sight down at night in the living room, lights low, tree on, sipping some hot honey-vanilla-chamomile tea, surfing JU and listening to some good Christmas tunes. Not a bad way to spend an evening!

Merry Christmas! We put up our fake tree last Sunday, so it's been about a week now. The spirit that comes into our home when the lights are up and the tree is glowing in the corner of the darkened living room. Oh yeah.

Italian christmas tree?  Does it play O Solo Mio instead of O Holy night?

Very nice tree, Jeremy.

I love having the lights turned off, candles lit, and having the Christmas tree sparkling in the background. It's wonderful!

I should have sent you guys some ornaments...I didn't even think about it. I'll have to get on that one. They have some neat Hawaiian turtle ones here that I think you'd like.

Here's our tree this year...still missing some presents and it looks kinda craptastic with the living room lights on and the sloppy ornament hanging, but hey...we're that kinda people, hehe.

Merry Christmas!

Buon Natale!

We usually put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving (and it stays up till New Years), but we have had some other problems and have not been able to get it up. For me, the longer it's up, the better!

It's pretty amazing how the external factors can change mood/attitude huh? Sweet!

Italian christmas tree?

Yeah, but it's bi-lingual, the instructions were in English!
Does it play O Solo Mio instead of O Holy night?

Actually it plays Santo, Santo, Santo and Calma e Sangue Freddo! (To be truthful, it doesn't play anything...we're cheap!)

I can just imagine it! Wish I was there to have you make me some hot chocolate (or cereal!) he he he

That's okay. I do recall that you sent us some stuff from Hawaii last year. If you want we can exchange some ornaments now (I know they won't get there for Christmas, but at least you'll have them for next year!) Just let me know the general type the boys you and A would like.

ere's our tree this year

And it's beautiful! Hey, wait, don't I see one of those scratch and sniff gingerbread ornaments!?!?!? I also see the one with the tray of cookies - several things I recognize! : ) Makes me miss all the fun we had decorating the tree, but I am happy that the boys get to enjoy them!
we're that kinda people, hehe.

Yup, we be them there type o'people!
